| What are your contact details? |
 | Our many international customers start off with an email to us.
NZ starts of the day before everyone else in the world, so we will be in your future when you get hold of us!! :-))
For full contact details please refer to our Contact Us page. |
| Do you supply Flowforms on a lease to purchase basis? |
 | No we dont, but we can help organise finance for you to purchase, or you can use a layby system, when we send you the product when it is all paid for after some months. |
| What is your payment process? |
 | We expect 25% down payment on order, and then full payment prior to shipping.
Of course we stand by our product and do everything we can to ensure you are thrilled with your purchase. |
| How long does it take for you to send my Flowform to me? |
 | # 2 to 3 weeks from time of confirmed order (ie deposit), if there are no backlog orders and the Flowforms you want are in stock.
# 3 to 6 weeks, if we need to cast for your order and if you live in a place where freight is not so easy to get to you.
# 12 weeks or more, when sea freighted. This reduces your shipping and handling costs significantly but adds time.
# We pride ourselves in getting our beautiful Flowforms to our clients as arranged anywhere in the world, in tiptop condition. It is best to look ahead and plan so we can do this for your satisfaction. |
| What scientific evidence is there that Flowforms make any difference to water? |
 | There is a growing body of work that shows Flowform treatment does help in particular ways. |
| Can Flowforms help my drinking water? |
 | Yes. Clients have bought our stackable Glasshouse to treat drinking and cooking water before use, and feel better for it.
Water coming out of town taps has been pressurised, deoxygenated and has chemicles in it, some of which are released with vigorous splashing. Would you like your drinking water run through a clean mountain stream before use? Flowforms can so this. |
| Are Flowforms ever used inside the house? |
 | Yes, often. Many of our clients have used interior Flowforms to humidify the dry air, spread healthy energies (called negative ions!) and also to help with sleep relaxation. They look and sound beautiful too, and are a great talking point for visitors. |
| Are Flowforms water-safe for children? |
 | Indeed they are. When you turn off the power to the pump, the water flows out of the Flowform and with a hidden landscaped sump the little chidlren are entirely safe from water. A flick of a switch makes a dry landscape with beautiful sculptures. |
| How do I keep my pond from going all green and murky? |
 | # Flowforms freshen water, acting as a 'super-stream' to run your pond water through. The water takes on a sparkle, and pond life responds positively.
# Please note that Flowforms do not maintain cleanliness in your pond for you without any maintenance work or informed planning.
# In particular, excess sunlight or unbalanced pH will cause algae weeds to grow.
# Please ensure you can maintain your own pond to a level you are happy with. |
| Can I have fish in with my Flowforms? |
 | Fish love Flowform water even jumping up into it as it falls into their pond, but we don't recommend having fish in with the Cloverleaf and Lotus in smaller ponds, as the pumps are set directly under the sculpture. The fish are always in close proximity to those pumps and this is not so good for them. However, in larger ponds fish thrive! |
| When my Flowform is treating my pond, do I need to do anything else with the water? |
 | This depends on what is living in there, and how you want it to look. If you want crystal clear water all the time (ie without anything living in it!) then you will need to use pool cleansing solutions (salts, pool chemicals, silver electolysers etc etc). However, most people like their ponds to look somewhat natural. |
| Do Flowforms clean and purify water? |
 | Strictly speaking they increase the capacity of water to support life, but the oxygenation and mixing that happens can reduce pathogens and solutions, the same way natural streams and rivers clean themselves.
Flowforms don't magically purify effluent if it is run through them! In this case, they help micro-organisms transform it into a usable fertiliser, and oxidise it as well. |
| What slopes are best to have for a Flowform cascade? |
 | Our models run with slopes of 1:13 (which is 75mm height to every 1000mm length) to 1:3 (which is 330mm height to every 1000mm length) In short, pretty flat to quite steep! |
| Where are Flowforms best used? |
 | Quite simply, where ever there are human beings, or water in need of some enlivening! |
| Can I add on more Flowforms to my present cascade? |
 | It is possible for you to purchase extra Flowforms in a module line, simply extending the top sculpture upwards and backwards, with extra plumbing added. |
| How do I join them all together and fix them to the foundations? |
 | We supply bolts to fix the Flowforms firmly onto their metal foundations. The nuts are precast into the base of the Flowforms for ease of fitting.
The Monarch and the Waipawa models butt together and we supply a silicon gun and instructions to ensure there is a watertight join. |
| How do I work out the height a Flowform sculpture will drop to the pond area? |
 | This can be seen in the Installation Specifications as the horizontal drop of the foundations. Each of the models has this detailed there, and this information allows you to work out which Flowform would suit your situation best. |
| If I know the length of garden I want the Flowforms to cover, how do I work out how many Flowforms will be needed? |
 | The trick is to look under the Installation Specifications and measure the lengths of the foundations, NOT the Flowforms themselves. This is because most Flowforms overlap each other and the foundations are the actual lengths that matter for building. |
| Do Flowforms need special foundations? |
 | Yes, the measurements are important. Again you will see information on this at installation specifications.
We make exact foundations and can send them to you for easy installation. They are made in either galvanised steel or aluminium, and can be freighted anywhere in the world.. Once set in place the Flowforms just need placing on them following the instruction sheet. |
| How often do pumps needs servicing!! |
 | They can go for years without needing any attention. We suggest pumps that are from companies with excellent track records, have a 2 year warranty, and are supplied from a local dealer. |
| What happens if I need to get my pump out for servicing? |
 | This is easy. We design systems which can be opened up and the pump uplifted. Ensure there are a couple of metres of pump power cable in the sump with the pump, and that the plumbing can be screwed off the pump. Then either reach in, or else have a line of nylon rope tied to the pump and attached to the top of the tank. Then you can just pull it up. |
| Does the water running through Flowforms have to go into an open pond? |
 | No. It can fall through rocks landscaped into the bottom of the cascade. These can be placed onto a steel grating over a buried tank in which the pump sits. The pump then sends the water through plumbing up to the top Flowform. |
| Do you have wind or solar power pumps? |
 | They do exist but are expensive. At this time we dont specifiy them but this may change. A quick search on www.google.com may show you a local supplier if you are keen. |
| Can we go and get our own pump locally? |
 | Yes, you can get your own pump, or use one you have already BUT make sure you understand what we have said about pumps first. We can organise delivery of your pump for you anywhere in the world. |
| What different pumps do you suggest? |
 | There are two main types of pump. The submersible sits in a body of water and the centrifugal is outside the water, usually in a pump house.
The submersible is easier to set up and cheaper to purchase often. This is the one we specifiy, but for larger sculptures where a pump house can be part of the budget, the centrifugal works well. |
